The Missouri Statewide Fluorescent Lamp Recycling Project is designed to provide affordable recycling for households, businesses, industry, schools, churches, government agencies and anyone else that disposes of small quantities of old fluorescent light bulbs. The project is coordinated by the University of Missouri Extension in partnership with HTR-GROUP and the solid waste management districts. Start-up funding was provided by a grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

The project involves a statewide network of recycling centers, sheltered workshops and retailers that will accept spent bulbs for a small fee. The goal is to increase statewide fluorescent lamp recycling through a program that will continue to support itself.

Regulated generators of hazardous waste and/or those that generate over 1,000 fluorescent bulbs should contact HTR directly for competitive rates and services.
